At Glenglassaugh Distillery, their small highly skilled team handcraft the spirit to ensure that every drop meets their high standards. We recommend taking a tour of the distillery to learn more about their traditional distilling methods and sample a few of their distinctive drams along the way.

The Salmon Bothy Museum

Spend a few hours immersing yourself in the local history at the community-run Salmon Bothy Museum. The restored ice house is now home to artefacts and information from Portsoy’s salmon fishing industry, maritime culture and the harbour trade. Upstairs in the “Bothy” otherwise known as the sleeping quarters, you can discover more about the family history of those who lived and worked in the Bothy. While you’re there, ask about the local events which are frequently held at the venue such as the annual Portsoy folk festival, the HAAL Festival in June.
